The parent-child relationship between Nick Cannon and his kids is one of shared knowledge. The actor tells FOX411 that his kids inspire him in a number of ways.
“I did a book series about my children, because they’re characters,” says Cannon of his children’s book called The Adventures of Roc and Roe. Although the he admits that the story is geared towards children a bit older than his kids, Nick says that the idea to write a story came out of his love of poetry and reading to the twins at night. “I got the opportunity to create a poetry book and a lot of poems in there are ones I would write or read to my children and they were kind of like the test market for when I was making it,” shares the star.
Nick is teaching his children about life and how to be positive contributors to society as they grow but he tells media that the kids are also showing him a few things along the way. “Having children obviously changes your priorities,” explains Canon. “When you start to see life through these innocent eyes and seeing everything for the first time, you appreciate the small things and I think they allow me to take the time out and really appreciate the small things.”
Monroe and Moroccan are Nick Cannon’s kids with estranged wife Mariah Carey. The twins celebrated their fourth birthdays last month.
