Kobe Bryant and the family were guests of honor at the 2015 Toberman Gala last month. The event was held at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, and honored the celebrity family for their charity efforts.
Natalia and Gianna were present to see the recognition their parents received. Kobe and Vanessa were given the Bill Sharman Humanitarian Award for their tireless efforts in giving underprivileged youth better opportunities in life. The Bryants have hosted numerous events and founded many programs that benefit inner city kids who are not always offered the same luxuries as children growing up in suburbia. The couple never ceases to give back to the community and spread the word about disparities in education to fans.
In line with the Bryants’ mission, this year’s Toberman Gala served to benefit after-school programs and summer camp adventures that are no longer included in the public school system’s budget. The event raised more than $600,000 for such causes.
