Rachel Roy and her youngest daughter Tallulah spent the day at the theater on Sunday. The designer and her little one rocked casual wear as they watched a monkey and her son find their way in the wild.
In Monkey Kingdom, Maya and her son, Kip, attempt to survive in the Temple Troop. The monkey group lives in the ancient ruins of South Asia, and the competition among troop members is fierce. Kip and his mother must cope with their new surroundings after being forced to move with the troop, and adjust to the strong hierarchy within that make life challenging.
Rachel can certainly identify with various challenges that present themselves in life. The designer recently discussed the difficulties that she experienced upon deciding to move to Los Angeles. “[Moving] was the hardest decision I ever made in my life, and as soon as I did it, the universe just blessed me,” said Roy during a recent interview. She further explained, “My work ethic is still there, but this is the time in my life when I need to put my kids first. Now that that stress has been eliminated, I’m a better mother, a better friend, and a better co-worker.”
Rachel Roy has two kids, Tallulah and Ava, with ex-husband Damon Dash. You can see Monkey Kingdom in theaters on Friday, April 17, 2015. Watch the trailer below.
