Mo’ne Davis spent time with her fans in Philadelphia on Saturday, where she signed copies of her book, Mo’ne Davis: Remember My Name. The teen mingled with several locals who came out to support her at Barnes & Nobles.
Davis’ book tells her story of being one of the youngest pitchers to make her mark in the sports arena. The teen has been featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and received much recognition from Hollywood notables since pitching her first ball several years ago. In fact, Miss Davis is the first little league player to create custom-made sneakers for fans to purchase.
“I don’t really think about being a celebrity at any time,” says Mo’ne of her fame. “I’m still the Mo’ne I was before little league.” In all of her stardom, Mo’ne hopes to inspire other youngsters her age to reach for the stars. “If I can inspire them to reach their goals, that would be even cooler.”
Mo’ne Davis’ book is currently available for purchase at BarnesAndNoble.com.
