Christian Combs made a huge showing with his famous dad, Sean “Diddy” Combs, this week. The young teen took the stage for a Hip Hop concert to remember at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday.
Christian had a few words on the mic but mostly stood behind dad while Diddy worked the crowd. Although fans centrally came to see him, Sean made sure that his son was also in the limelight. The Hip Hop mogul rendered a few lyrics and then joined Christian in dancing onstage.
The night was definitely about more than delivering a good performance for Sean Combs. The rapper told fans that he came to restore positive energy to the genre after more than a decade of being indifferent with fellow rapper Marion “Suge” Knight.
“That negative energy started right here, right on this very stage,” said Diddy upon entering the stage after 1995 footage of Suge dissing Diddy concluded. “If you about positivity, make some noise. So that’s what this is about, man. This is setting that scene straight, as if we can go back, but we can’t. But we get to celebrate on this stage.” Knight has since been charged with murder after being identified as the driver in a hit-and-run accident that took place in Compton, California, last month.
