When asked if he’s a triple threat, he laughed, and said: “I would have to say I am a triple threat but I don’t like to claim it because puberty has kind of altered my voice, so I don’t have the range I used to have when I was younger.”
He is completely focused on his career, with some top-secret upcoming projects, and in another six months or so of shooting pre-ordered K.C. Undercover episodes. It seems he’ll be a busy guy for a while.
Kamil named Will Smith as his biggest inspiration during our conversation. “I have always looked up to him, from Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I just like the style of how they filmed the show –the live studio audience, and how he broke the fourth wall and addressed the audience sometimes.”
So when he isn’t on set working, or watching Fresh Prince, what is Kamil up to? The same thing as any 18 year old, really. Going to movies, playing video games, watching sports, and (of course) hanging out with friends. One of which is K.C Undercover’s star and co-producer Zendaya
“Zendaya is so down to earth… we clicked instantly; now we hang out all the time… she likes to rub it in my face that she’s older than me,” he laughed and added, “She’s older by 9 days.”
