Anthony Anderson and his son, Nathan, joined the rest of the ‘Black-ish’ cast in celebrating the recording arts at the 2014 American Music Awards this past Sunday. The ceremony was held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and featured some of the greatest artists of our time.
Anthony can certainly be marked as one of the greatest actors of our time as his role in the hit sitcom ‘Black-ish’ is being classified as one that re-creates the image of African American life. In the series, Anthony portrays the successful Andre Johnson who has a wife and two kids who are completely out of touch with urban culture. As the patriarch of the family, Andre sees it as his duty to teach his son and daughter about the culture that so many other African American kids their age are well-versed in. Mr. Johnson tries to change his family’s perspective by holding awkward information sessions and throwing his son a “Black” Bar Mitzvah.
Marcus Scribner and Yara Shahidi portray Anderson’s son and daughter onscreen. The young actors joined Anthony and Nathan on the red carpet at the American Music Awards. Anthony Anderson is the proud father of two kids.
