It was an emotional night for Devon Still as he and the Cincinnati ‘Bengals’ competed against the Cleveland ‘Browns’ on Thursday. The NFL star wasn’t so moved by the fact that he and the team lost the game, but was rather overcome that his daughter was able to see him in action for the first time.

Leah was diagnosed with stage four cancer earlier this year. The ‘Bengals’ initially canceled Devon’s contract after he missed several practices. Executives later restored the athlete to his position as defensive tackle with full benefits that allowed his daughter to undergo much-needed surgery.

“I got to do something for her,” said Devon in preparation for Thursday night’s game. “You got to make a play. You can’t just be out there dancing for no reason.” The athlete further explained, “It’s going to be emotional just knowing that she’s there, especially with the check presentation that they’re gonna do at the game.”

The ‘Bengals’ presented a $1 million check to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in honor of Leah. The self-proclaimed selfie queen also took pictures with the team’s cheer squad that Devon shared by way of Instagram after the festivities concluded. Check out a few of the photos below!
