The Wayans family presented a united front at the Los Angeles premiere of Disney’s Big Hero 6. Both Damon Sr. and Damon Jr. were on the red carpet with other members of the family who were excited to see the action packed film. Damon Jr.’s daughters had much to be proud of as their dad stars as one of the superheros in the film.
Damon’s character, Wasabi, is one of five others that central character Hiro selects to protect the citizens of San Fransokyo after it is attacked by a mysterious force. Wasabi and the others must work together to expose the hidden evil that has plagued the city for years. Of course, they have Hiro’s best friend, plus-sized robot Baymax, by their side through every adventure.
Wayans commented on everything he went through to get his character’s voice just right during a recent press conference. “It was a process,” said the star. “You initially go there (studio) with what you think the character is going to sound like but you also have to consider what the directors wants and then there is a marriage of the two ideas, that’s Wasabi.”
Big Hero 6 makes its public debut on November 7, 2014. Damon Wayans Jr. has two kids with ex-girlfriend Aja Metoyer.
