Actress Zoe Saldana has yet to confirm the rumors that she is expecting twin boys, but she has finally spoken of her upcoming due date, which is now just 8-10 weeks away.
In the meantime, Zoe told The Late, Late Show host Craig Ferguson that her pregnancy as really increased her appetite — and her desire to lounge around watching crime mysteries since she can barely sleep.
On the food front she says she has no particular cravings, but rather a new found love of food itself. The star explained: “It feels good. Food just tastes so delicious. It’s really good because you trick yourself. Working in Hollywood, you trick yourself, going, ‘That burger’s disgusting. A burger is awful,’ but now that you’re pregnant, you’re like, ‘I can eat all of that together at the same time! I can have the pickle with the doughnut and it will probably be life-changing.'”
Zoe also finds herself craving compliments these days. “Not getting picked up because my husband will kill you, but, [for someone to say], ‘Your wife is looking really hot!’ We like that.”
Well, at least in The Book of Life (open today, October 17th) Zoe gets all the attention. She voices Maria, a unique princess that all the men desire.
Back in August she opened up to Cosmopolitan Latinas about everything from relationships to sex, and was sure to point out that she will be raising her children to speak both English and Spanish, as she does. “I’m going to have to make a conscious effort to speak Spanish to my children, because I speak Spanglish,” Zoe pointed out. Presumably, their Italian father, Marco Perego will be passing on his mother tongue, as well.
