Kanye West has never been happier. The rapper recently gushed about his daughter and wife to a crowd of thousands at a concert in Adelaide on Sunday night. Kanye was bringing his segment to a close when he began talking about North and Kim and how they changed him for the better.
“You know, I have no complaints,” said the star. “I feel so happy, just to hold my daughter in my arms and see the greatest creation that I needed God and my wife to help me with. And everything I did up until this point is really just to have a family and at that point I understood what life is about. What’s the meaning of life? Life itself. To see a life. To watch it grow right in front of you.”
Kim and Kanye have certainly been watching with joy as North grows up in the public’s eye. The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star recently discussed the process of naming her child that was influenced by media and fellow celebrities. “It was a rumor in the press and we’d never really considered [the name North] seriously at all,” explained Kim. “But Kanye and I were having lunch … and Pharrell came over to us and said, ‘Oh my god, are you guys really going to call your daughter North? That is the best name.’ Then a little while later Anna Wintour came over and asked the same thing. She told us, ‘North is a genius name.’ Kanye and I looked at one another and just laughed. I guess at that point it sort of stuck.”
North is Kim and Kanye’s first child together. The couple wed earlier this year.
