Zendaya has taken on the new role of the “Trick-or-Treat for UNIFCEF Superhero” this Halloween season.
With back-to-school upon us, it’s already time to start thinking about the costumes, parties, and other haunted October festivities around the corner. As the face of UNICEF this fall, Zendaya will be encouraging her many young fans to gather donations for a good cause while dressing up and knocking on doors. So, Trick-or-Treat with a UNICEF box this year, and make her proud.
“Kids need more than candy” the starlet explained. “They need basics like medicine, nutrition and clean drinking water”. She recalled trick-or-treating herself as a child and how she had always felt that collecting the donations was such a significant aspect of the night. “It was such an empowering experience to be able to make a difference.” So this year, she will celebrate the festivities by inspiring others to follow in her philanthropic footsteps. The young star is known, after all, for advocating for many charities.
For the youngens that will not be going door-to-door this year, there are still ways to help. For the first time this year, those looking for alternatives can set up individual fundraising pages on Crowdwise, or even add a link to UNICEF’s donation page to their Halloween party invitations.
