Michael Strahan and daughters(L-R) Isabella and Sophia attended Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards 2014 at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion on July 17, 2014 in Los Angeles, California. The former NFL player took time out to smile on the orange carpet with his sweets before attending to his hosting duties.
Strahan was recently asked why he chose to host the event, to which he replied, “I have kids who love sports, and I love kids who love sports, and to be able to host a show where the kids get the opportunity to be heard and vote who they think are the best in all these cool categories sounded fun. And I like to have fun!”
He added, “Here, the kids are allowed to do the voting. It’s for the kids. What also makes this show different is that we have a ton of slime. A lot of people are going to get slimed. Maybe I’ll even get slimed!”
This year’s Kids’ Choice Sports awards was filled with fun as various athletes received recognition for their hard work on and off the court. Victor Cruz and Serena Williams were two of many to receive awards for their exuberance and efforts when playing ball.
Michael Strahan has four kids in all.
