Garcelle Beauvais and sons Jaid and Jax were one of many celebrity families to attend the world premiere of Maleficent at El Capitain Theatre in Hollywood, California on Wednesday (May 28). The actress gave her sons instructions while on the red carpet, pointing to photographers and telling her sons to look their way.
Maleficent is the story of a vindictive fairy who curses the land’s future princess at birth. Maleficent later discovers that the princess she cursed is the only one who can restore peace and bring about harmony in the world. It’s the story of the villain like you’ve never heard it before in a tale that is filled with twists and turns.
Angelina Jolie stars as Maleficent while her children support her as talent in the film. Although she enjoyed having her kids on set with her during the making of the film, Jolie says that she wouldn’t want her children to become entertainers at young ages. “I want them to do it for fun only, and when they get older, if they decide to be actors, I would just ask that that’s not the center of their lives,” explains the star. “That’s an aspect but they are involved in many other things, because I don’t think it’s a healthy focus as the center of your life.”
