Us magazine reports that in a recent interview with the New York Daily News,

Angelina Jolie gushed about how grateful she is that she and partner Brad Pitt have the means and support to raise their six children without struggling. The 38 year old actress said, “I have much more support than most people, most women in this world. And I have the financial means to have a home and health care and food.”

Although actress Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken of the difficulties of maintaining a film career while raising kids, Angelina seems to disagree that a “normal” job would be better. She pointed out, “When I feel I’m doing too much, I do less, if I can. And that’s why I’m in a rare position where I don’t have to do job after job. I can take time when my family needs it.”

While the actress was married to Billy Bob Thorton she adopted her first child as a single parent, Maddox, from Cambodia. Three years later she adopted a baby girl, Zahara, from Ethiopa. Controversy over the girl’s mother allegedly wanting her back was at a high, but the claims were denied and eventually the rumour subsided. One year later, she and Pitt became pregnant and travelled to Nambia to give birth to little Shiloh. Next the couple adopted Pax, from Vietnam. Then in 2008, they became pregnant with twins, which Angelina gave birth to in France; a boy, Knox, and a girl, Vivienne.

But the growing family has not had much of an impact on the careers of this power couple. Most recently Angelina starred in the upcoming summer blockbuster Maleficent and the sequel to her 2010 action flick Salt has just been announced. Meanwhile, Brad starred in two of 2013’s biggest films, World War Z and 12 Years a Slave. His newest venture, Fury is now in post-production.

“I actually feel that women in my position, when we have all at our disposal to help us, shouldn’t complain,” said the celeb-mom. Together she and Brad Pitt are worth a reported $270 million.
