Juggling a thriving career with motherhood is tough, especially when you’re Sherri Shepherd. ‘The View’ co-host recently discussed her struggles during the show’s ‘Hot Topic’ segment.
“I don’t think you can have it all. Somebody suffers something,” said Shepherd. “[It’s difficult] when you have a child and you’re trying to explain to your child when they say, ‘Why do you have to go to work?’ And you try to explain to them, ‘Mommy’s trying to pay the bills, trying to take care of you.'”
Sherri is currently involved with two custody battles in which both fathers are trying to get full physical custody of their sons. Lamar Sally, Shepherd’s estranged husband, is attempting to gain full custody of his and Sherri’s unborn son. Jeffrey Tarpley is asking the courts for physical custody of 9-year-old Jeffrey Jr. Both men make strong accusations against Sherri, saying that the talk show host is both a bad mother and fraud. Two separate judges are expecting to hear and make rulings on the both matters in coming weeks.
Lamar Sally filed for divorce from Sherri Shepherd earlier this month after more than two years of marriage. Jeffrey Tarpley is ‘The View’ co-host’s first husband.
