Cordell Broadus is becoming known as one of the elites. The high school athlete was recently accepted into The Opening 2014, which is an invite-only football camp hosted by Nike.
The camp extended their invitation to Broadus on Twitter a few days ago. “S/O & Congrats to the 107th official @TheOpening2014 invitee, Bishop Gorman (Nev.) WR Cordell Broadus (@C_Broadus21),” read the caption underneath a picture of Broadus tossing a football.
Cordell has been growing by leaps and bounds since transferring to Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas. The star athlete loves everything about the school’s football program and especially enjoys the rush that he receives every time he steps out on the field. “[It was] a different atmosphere [with] great coaches, great students, and everybody’s willing to help you,” says Broadus. “What I love about the football program is everybody is ready to compete. As soon as we walk in, we’re competing. And that’s just what it is out here. Everybody has that ‘win’ mentality.”
The wide receiver has received several scholarship offers from various universities but has decided to attend Florida State in 2015. Cordell Broadus is rapper Snoop Dogg’s youngest son.
