Many were shocked to see Solange Knowles get into a physical altercation with her brother-in-law at a Met Ball after party on Monday (May 5).
The singer was videotaped while arguing and kicking Jay-Z in the elevator. Although she has been criticized for her actions a few days back, Solange now says that she is striving to set a good example for her son.
“When you make mistakes and act a fool in life, you are now thinking: I have a child I should be setting an example for,” said Solange just five days after the brawl. “That kind of growth and responsibility makes you a better you!”
Knowles went on to talk about the many ways that parenthood has changed her telling media, “Everyone has to figure out their pathways as parents on their own. There is no wrong or right way — it’s solely based on what feels right.”
Julez Smith is Solange’s only child with ex-husband Daniel Smith. It is unclear of what Solange and Jay-Z may have been arguing about when the singer experienced an emotional outburst last week.
