Reality stars Kirk and Rasheeda Frost recently sat down with V103 to chat about life on reality T.V., paternity drama, and more. With the new season of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta launching earlier this week, the hosts had a lot of questions for the couple who share two children.
Not surprisingly, Kirk was asked to clear the air about why he chose to ask his wife for a paternity test, as shown in the new season trailer. He responded by stating that first and foremost, men can never be sure until they check. He was teased by the hosts for not trusting his wife, whom he has been with for about fourteen years, but Kirk also explained that in his past he had fathered a child without knowing it, and another man raised that child for 18 years. Kirk said, “I feel like I was robbed of knowing I had a child for that many years. For me, if I have any more kids, I don’t want to take the woman’s word on it I want to check myself.” He added, “That’s me checking to make sure that’s my child. Everybody talking about how light skin your kids, I’m not going to torture myself and sit here and listen, now I know. I’m not saying its right or wrong, I’m just tired of that.”
The couple also discussed the hardships on the show which include Benzino’s hospitalization, and his mother’s funeral. Working on T.V. is difficult, and all the drama that comes with it has even heightened the need for security measures. Rasheeda spoke briefly on the matter, saying, “Now even when we’re working they take on extra precautions not only to protect you, maybe from getting into it with another cast mate but other people who just wilding out.”
Additionally, Rasheeda also discussed things like her weight loss and her love of chips and salsa. The couple even had their baby with them in the studio; Rasheeda kept him by her side the whole time.
