Turning 16 years old was definitely sweet for DJ Young Slade, a.k.a Nathan Smith. The teen celebrated his birthday this past Saturday (May 3) at the OHM nightclub in Hollywood with friends, family, and lots of music.

The festivities began at around 7:30p.m. The DJ of the night announced the start of the party with a huge shout out to Slade, who is also a dj. The dance floor was packed with teenagers who came to celebrate with the youngster.  Lil Jon and wife Nicole Smith were the active parents who made sure everything went smoothly at their son’s party. Lil Jon helped spin records while Nicole worked with her assistant to ensure that order was kept throughout the night. Now how’s that for mommy and daddy mode?

Several celebrities stopped by the party to wish DJ Slade well on his special night. “Stay just as cool as you were when you were 15,” said actor Robert Riley.

“Keep going and have fun,” said Ryan and Rodney Peete, the children of actress Holly Robinson Peete.

“[I’m] excited. You’re only 16 once,” replied actress Sydney Park when asked how she felt about DJ Young Slade turning another year old.

There was lots of candy and a magnificent cake for guests to enjoy in addition to the all-you-can eat buffet. Party goers were also encouraged to take pictures at the photo booth and get free tattoos in the art section. The night was complete with a performance by Nipsey Hustle, Danny brown, and Problem.
