Actor Pooh Hall and his wife Linda hosted a “Sweet Sixteen” to remember for their daughter Djanai Hall last month
The party, titled “Special Needs Family Prom,” spolighted Djanai along with other children battling with developmental disorders. Djanai was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy a few years back, which spurred her parents to reach out to other moms and dads who have children with special needs. Together Pooch and Linda formed an organization called Djanai’s Angels, which seeks to build self-esteem among special needs kids and spread awareness about Palsy to parents.
Both awareness and self-esteem were definitely built last month when the Halls put on the “Special Needs Family Prom.” Celebrities from near and far came out to support the movement, and even took a few pictures in the prom photo booth. Pooch and Linda had several performances in place, including a stellar showing by the Walk & Roll Dancers.
Djanai is the Halls’ eldest daughter. The couple also have a son named Djordan,5, and daughter named Djaeda,7.
