It may be all fun and giggles for Yandy Smith and her son now, but things haven’t always been this way. The reality star recently promoted the Affordable Care Act by sharing her struggles as mother of young Omere Harris who has medical conditions that sometimes warrant a visit to emergency.
“It’s no secret that my son was born with a preexisting kidney condition,” said Yandy in a press statement. “As a mom, my first priority was to put his health first. However, when I discovered my health insurance had been cancelled, I immediately went into panic mode to find the best solution. The Affordable Care Act provided my family and, most importantly my son, affordable coverage we could count on.”
Yandy has voiced her support of Obamacare, and recorded a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to promote the Act. Omere is the reality star’s son with Mendeecees.
