Family was the center of attraction for Columbus Short on Wednesday (March 26). The ‘Scandal’ star spent much of the day shopping at the Grove with his wife, Tanee, and daughter, Ayala. Columbus had one hand on the stroller as Tanee held the other while walking along. The actor and his wife appeared to be happy as he pushed little Ayala down the shopping stretch.

Columbus recently gave fathers a few helpful tips when raising strong, healthy children. The actor advised dads to train their little ones to go to bed at set times. “Whenever [Ayala’s] sleep schedule is off, her mood is completely different – and that effects a lot of things,” said the star. “Sleep training was very important.”

Short also told parents to give their children undivided attention. “You can be home and be on your Blackberry. Put it down, and be engaged. Let them know they are important.”

Ayala is Columbus and Tanee’s only child together. Columbus also has a son with ex-wife Brandi Short.
