Forrest Whitaker and the family attended the 45th NAACP Image Awards at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California on Saturday (February 22). The actor, along with his wife and daughter, looked stunning on the red carpet.
Forrest was one of many stars to win big at this year’s awards ceremony. The actor was ranked as one of the elites, being honored for his charity work and career as an actor. “All I have tried to do in my life and my work is deepen my connection with humanity,” said Whitaker. The entertainer captivated the hearts of many in his role as Cecil Gaines in Lee Daniels’ The Butler. Thousands of moviegoers melted and marveled at the true to life story as portrayed through Forrest’s acting.
Whitaker took home the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in The Butler in addition to being given the NAACP’s chairman award. Forrest parents four kids with wife Keisha Nash Whitaker.
