La La Anthony and son Kiyan Anthony attend the Cushnie Et Ochs MADE Fashion Week Fall 2014 at Milk Studios on February 7, 2014 in New York City. La La wore a dress by the designer to the show.
The reality star and entrepreneur recently wrote a new book, The Love Playbook, in which she talks about many aspects of her life that have made mainstream news. La La addresses the widely known Cheerios incident in which many believed that Kevin Garnett told Carmelo Anthony that La La tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios. “I wasn’t ever going to bring up the Honey Nut Cheerios incident again. But, since I’m writing this book, I might as well set the record straight for good,” said La La to her readers. “Kevin Garnett in fact had never said that I tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios. I tried to figure out how this big lie was turned into a media firestorm. I still can’t answer that one. … Melo and Kevin are cool today. And now it’s nothing but a faint memory.”
Anthony also reveals intimate details of her life as mom and wife, telling readers that her son has suffered the consequences of the ‘Knicks’ performing poorly on the court. The author writes, “[Kiyan] came home one afternoon and asked me, ‘Mom why do they hate Dad? Some Kids at school said, Your dad sucks.'” La La also talks about her son’s medical scare at 2-years-old that forced him to undergo six hours of kidney surgery.
Kiyan is La La and Carmelo Anthony’s first child together. The couple wed in 2010 after six years of engagement. You can pick up a copy of The Love Playbook at any Barnes & Noble or online bookstore.
