There is a new blessing in the Wade family, according to Miami ‘Heat’ star Dwyane Wade who recently confirmed that he has a 1-month-old son. The basketball star told media that his bundle of joy came about during a brief cooling off period between him and now-fiancee Gabrielle Union.
“I had a time … in our pain and our hurt, [but] a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy. So, I’m moving on,” said the star. Wade assured his fans that his focus will continue to be on family telling USA Today, “I’m in the public eye, so obviously [an explanation is] a part of it. It comes with the territory. But, it’s kind of … as I’ve always done my whole life … is always focus on what’s most important to me and my family, and that’s being a great father. I’ve always tried to show my importance in my kids’ lives and it doesn’t change now.” The athlete added, “I’m always going to be a father first. That doesn’t change.”
Dwyane Wade has two kids with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, and three kids in all. The Miami ‘Heat’ star is also raising his nephew.
