Just in time for the holidays! Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are engaged and the kids can’t be more thrilled. The Miami ‘Heat’ star told media that his sons, Zion and Zaire, and nephew helped him with the proposal by holding up signs that read, “Gabrielle Will You Marry Us?”
The Associated Press reports,
“The three boys that the Miami Heat guard is raising, his two sons and a nephew, all were part of the engagement surprise, Wade said Sunday when he spoke out about the big news for the first time.
— His youngest son Zion held a sign with her name.
— His nephew Dahveon Morris’ sign said ‘Will you.’
— And his oldest son Zaire’s sign read ‘marry us?'”
Wade tells media that he’d been planning his proposal to Gabrielle for weeks. “I planned it,” says the b-ball star. “No concrete for my knee. I planned it very well.”
Gabrielle and Dwyane have been in courtship for several months. Wade has two sons with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches.
