Ellen Pompeo and her daughter, Stella, come bearing gifts. The actress and her little one were spotted heading to a birthday party in Studio City on Sunday (December 8). Ellen held the gift as Stella followed along. Pompeo’s husband, Chris Ivery, was also spotted, looking fresh as ever while accompanying his wife and daughter.
Ellen told Jimmy Kimmel a few months back that Stella loves all things shiny. “She was really enamored with the cheerleaders [at her first basketball game] because they wear those sparkly costumes. So she thought they were princesses and she kept saying , ‘Mama look at the princesses.'”
The actress also talked about how she and Chris reunited in Los Angeles after having known one another as children. “[My friend and I] were in the coffee section of [Whole Foods],” explained the actress. “We were having an argument about what were going to have for dinner that night and they saw each other. He heard her voice, she has a really distinctive voice, he came over [and] started talking. And I heard the Boston accent and I ran because I didn’t want to have anything to do with anyone from Boston. I was trying to get away from that whole thing.” She eventually ran back and got married in 2007.
Stella is Ellen and Chris’ first child together.
