It’s official. Idris Elba is expecting a child with girlfriend, Naiyana Garth. The actor confirmed the news with Oprah Winfrey a few weeks ago saying, “My girlfriend’s having a baby, yes.” There was speculation that Naiyana was pregnant with her and Idris’ child but the actor had not yet confirmed or denied such rumors.
Elba recently told USA Today that he doesn’t aim to have his personal life meshed with his career. “You have to keep the mystery as much as you can. If I’m honest, in the future, I’ll be doing less press. Recently my private life is creeping into my work life and that annoys the (expletive) out of me. This is my work. My life is different,” explained the actor.
Idris Elba already has a daughter named Isan. This will be his second child.
