Octavia Spencer is one woman who is not married with children and not at all sad about it. The actress recently shared with her fellow colleagues that motherhood and family life are things that she has sacrificed to become a successful entertainer.
“I should be married and have 19 kids. And now I’m thinking my eggs are dying on the shelf. They’re going to go past their expiration date. But it’s what I chose, so I’m fine with that decision,” the celeb.
Spencer also talked about her upcoming role on television, starring as a detective in Murder She Wrote. “Because I’m a short, cute, chubby woman, there are fewer and fewer roles that I haven’t done [in film] already,” explained the actress. “To break out of that box, the most interesting stuff is television. That’s why [when the opportunity arose] I said, ‘Hey, in my own life, I’m a detective. So I’d rather try that on.'”
Octavia Spencer rose to Hollywood prominence after her spectacular portrayal of Minny Jackson in the hit film, The Help. The star began her trails in entertainment in 1996.
