David Otunga Jr., showed off his muscles with pride as he watched his mom, Jennifer Hudson, receive her star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame on Tuesday (November 13). The toddler smiled wide as the cameras captured him standing next to Jennifer’s star while holding up both arms to flex his muscles. David Jr., sat down next to the image during the ceremony, exuding the same feelings of awe and appreciation that his mother had.
Although her career has seen much success since her time as a contestant on ‘American Idol,’ Jennifer was surprised to be the honoree at Tuesday’s Walk of Fame ceremony. “This is for legends. It’s something you hear about and you dream about and now it’s happening to me,” said the star to Variety prior to the event.
Hudson became overwhelmed with emotion at her ceremony, recognizing her mom and family members who supported her career throughout the years. “I knew I would get emotional and I’m sure my mom is in heaven like ‘Jenny stop crying’ but now’s the time to cry mama, it is,” shared the star. “This is an amazing honor as we all know and I did not see this coming. I’m so honored to be here with so many that I love and I feel as though we’re all a family.”
David Jr., is Jennifer Hudson’s son with fiance David Otunga Sr. The actress has been a notable in Hollywood since 2004.
