Scandalous! Kerry Washington is pregnant, according to Us Weekly who claims to have gotten the inside scoop from a family friend who confirms the star’s expectancy with newlywed husband, Nnamdi Asomugha.
The media source reports, “Kerry Washington, like her Scandal alter ego Olivia Pope, sure knows how to keep a secret. The 36-year-old actress, who married NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha in a super covert ceremony in June, has yet another surprise on the way — a baby! As the new issue of Us Weekly exclusively reveals, the Scandal star is pregnant with her first child. ‘She’s about four months along,’ a pal tells Us of Washington.”
Kerry previously told Glamour magazine that she keeps her personal life private saying, “I learned through experience that it doesn’t work for me to talk about my personal life. I’ve had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it. I was on the cover of a bridal magazine. But I couldn’t just turn around and say, ‘I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.’ So I just thought, OK, no more.”
This will be Kerry and Nnamdi’s first child together if it is indeed true that they are expecting. The couple wed on June 24, 2013 in Hailey, Idaho.
