Monica Brown’s heart beats for Romelo, Rodney Jr., and Laiyah. The singer recently shared a photo of her three children hanging around the house and showing a whole lot of love. Rodney and Romelo surrounded Laiyah as the newborn lay on her big brother’s chest. Monica expressed her love for her kids telling Twitter fans, “Everyday I wake up I feel inspired, encouraged & motivated to be the best person I can be because of these three. My heart beats for My Children.”
The R&B singer recently gave her fans the opportunity to pose questions that she addressed one by one. Among other things discussed, such as her career and work ethic, Monica talked about her family. The singer shared the details behind her daughter’s name, telling fans that godmother Tameka Harris and proud papa Shannon Brown chose Laiyah’s identity. “Her God mother gave her her first name. Her dad the middle,” wrote the star.
Monica also explained why the public hasn’t seen much of Laiyah telling fans that they will see her precious little one’s face “when she’s a bit older she’s 5wks.” Brown expressed her desire to keep family at her core’s center but told her supporters that they are dear to her heart. “With a 5 week old, 5 yr old & 8 yr old I’m always busy but I always think of you guys.”
The Browns welcomed Laiyah into the world on September 3, 2013. She is the couple’s first child together and Monica’s third little one.
