Jennifer Hudson was the princess from New Orleans and David Jr. was her adoring prince during the actress’ photo shoot with Disney a few days ago. Jennifer posed as Tiana from The Princess and the Frog as David watched from the sidelines in awe. At first the tot was too stunned to see his mom all dressed up and was a bit hesitant to get in front of the camera when invited to come on set for a few shots. After, however, receiving a few kisses from Hudson and lots of hugs from the star, David warmed up and began to smile for photographers.
Jennifer will join the ranks of many celebrities who have posed as beloved characters for Disney’s Dream Portrait series. Taylor Swift joined the ‘Dream Girls’ star as Rapunzel in this year’s shoot, and Beyonce posed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz in 2007.
Hudson recently discussed her charity, the Julian D. King Foundation, during a red carpet interview at the 2013 Do Something! Awards show. “We want [kids] to know that positivity is acknowledged and we are paying attention [through foundation],” said the star. “We grant their Christmas wishes [during the holidays] but they have to do well in school or they have to try. We want them to know that they’re not forgotten, we’re thinking about them.”
Jenifer Hudson and David Otunga Sr. have one child, David Jr., together. The couple became engaged in 2008.
