Kimora Lee Simmons, ex-husband Russell Simmons, and kids supported unity and culture earlier this month at the Summer 2013 FFEU Benefit in Los Angeles. The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding (FFEU) was established out of the need for unity among cultures. To date, the organization has built a bridge between African American, Latino, and Jewish communities that creates sound awareness and appreciation of culture among the three groups. Janice Bryant-Howroyd was honored at this year’s benefit for her many contributions to racial harmony within our society.
Russell Simmons has been quite charitable as of late, creating harmony among cultures and giving back to the community through art. The entrepreneur recently hosted an ‘Art for Life’ gala that sought to showcase the creativity of youth in New York and provide financial support to underprivileged children in the area.
Russell and Kimora have two daughters, Ming and Aoki, together. Kenzo Lee Hounsou is the model’s son with ex-beau Djimon Hounsou. Learn more about the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding at the organization’s website.
