It was all about TLC at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards Japan as the famous female group received a legendary award and gave a performance to remember. Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins got the crowd going as they sang their greatest hits at the ceremony, which included the energetic ‘Ain’t too Proud to Beg’ and memorable ‘Waterfalls.’ Rozanda’s son, Tron, and Tionne’s daughter, Chase, were among the thousands cheering as TLC shut the awards show down with their talent.
Upon receiving the prestigious “Legend Award,” Tionne and Rozanda thanked all of their fans who have given support for over twenty years and paid homage to their late friend, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. “We would just like to thank all of our fans and anybody who has had a hand in our career,” said the artists. “We’ve had 20 years and we are still going. Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes is our sister, [and] she lives on forever in this group, TLC.”
Rozanda Thomas and producer Dallas Austin welcomed Tron into the world on June 3, 1997. Tionne gave birth to Chase on October 20, 2000.
