Actress Holly Robinson-Peete describes parenthood as something that slowly but surely slugs along. “I wouldn’t say it’s flown by,” explains the actress to Philly.com. “It’s this overwhelming bliss and then stress at the same time. Motherhood makes you better, but it’s so hard.”
Holly, who has four kids with husband Rodney Peete Sr., is all for supporting her kids’ in sports and the arts. “RJ’s playing a little basketball, my youngest (Roman) is playing baseball, and my daughter (Ryan) is playing volleyball. There are also little whisperings, now and again, of, ‘Can you get me an audition for a Nickelodeon show?’ Just like my dad did, I push back on that. I don’t want to be driving everybody to auditions. Ain’t nobody got time for that,” jokes the star.
The Peetes walked for autism awareness last month with thousands of families who also hope to educate the public about the symptoms of the disorder. All four of the Peete kids walked alongside mom and dad, who serve as celebs and advocates for autism awareness throughout the nation.
Holly and Rodney Sr. are the proud parents of Roman, Rodney Jr., Robinson, and Ryan. They wed nearly twenty years ago.
