Angela Bassett and her little ones, Bronwyn and Slater, showed appreciation for the arts and support for youth at this year’s ‘Shall We Dance’ Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday (May 11). The event was sponsored by the Coalition for At-Risk Youth (CARRY), which aims to give children suffering from skin disorders and other physical ailments a chance at living a great life.

For seven years the Coalition for At-Risk Youth has put on its ‘Shall We Dance’ Gala that both spreads awareness about and raises funds for illnesses prevalent in youth. The organization has earned millions in donations, and support from some of the biggest names in health care since its inception by Dr. Pearl Grimes several years ago.

Bronwyn and Slater are Angela and husband Courtney B. Vance’s little ones. Tyler Perry and Yara Shahidi were also in attendance at the ‘Shall We Dance’ Gala. Find out more about the Coalition here.
