Holly Robinson-Peete and the family walked for autism over the weekend. Holly, along with her children Rodney Jr, Ryan, and Roman, joined thousands of parents in spreading awareness and raising funds for the disorder that devastates a new family every 11 minutes.
Tisha Campbell-Martin and Shawn Stockman also joined Holly and her family in walking for the cause.
This year’s Walk Now for Autism initiative earned a whopping $1.7 million in contributions from individuals hoping to gain more insight about the disorder through research. Autism affects 1 in 88 children but receives less than 5% of funding for research from the government.
Holly, Rod, and the kids walked alongside 40,000 supporters for autism awareness. The couple have four kids in all.
