Jada Pinkett-Smith’s kids may be celebrities but they are still allowed to be kids.
The wife and actress recently sat down with Huffington Post to talk about her and husband Will Smith’s tactics of parenting, and she told the media source that independence is key.
“My kids are still allowed to be artists and they’re not the bread winners of the family,” said Pinkett-Smith. “There’s not that paradigm shift. They don’t become the adults, and they’re not the ones who start paying everybody’s bills.” Jada further explained, “Willow decided she didn’t want to do ‘Annie.’ At the end of the day, that’s her life. She doesn’t have to.”
