Mercy,8, and David,7, made a trip back home as mom, Madonna, took them to Malawi on April 2, 2013. The singer had all four of her kids in tow as she visited a school and orphanage in the country. Madonna was especially excited to take David back to the orphanage she adopted him from so he could “see his brothers and sisters.”
The ‘Like a Virgin’ singer is credited as being the largest international philanthropic donor of Malawi. Not only has Madonna built several schools through her Raising Malawi organization, but she has also given thousands to various causes trying to improve the childcare situation of the country.
Madonna adopted Mercy and David out of Malawi several years ago. The singer also has a son named Rocco,12, and daughter named Lourdes,16.
