It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and all around the White House the kids and Bo are stirring. Michelle along with Sasha,11, Malia,14, and the First Dog recently welcomed the house’s Christmas tree with joy to kick off the season of giving.
First Lady Michelle Obama leaned forward to smell the freshness of the tree as she gave the 19-foot Fraser Fir two thumbs up. “I’s a go. We’re good. We can have Christmas now,” said the First Lady. This year’s tree was provided by the National Christmas Tree Association through Peak Farms in Ashe County, North Carolina. It is the first year that the president and vice president’s Christmas trees have come from the same state.
