LIFESTYLE: INSIDE BABY HOUSLEY’S NURSERY

Tamera Mowry-Housely is one for style and her baby is going to receive nothing short of the fashion treatment. Mrs. Housley has chosen celebrity interior designer Shalena Smith as her “go-to” person for all things newborn in preparation for her little one’s arrival, and the nursery couldn’t look cuter.

Smith has designed the baby’s room with vintage in mind, having antiques of future dad Adam Housely’s family throughout. Shalena featured a toy plane that was given to Adam’s grandfather by an Italian prisoner during World War II that was carved by the prisoner himself. Shalena also brought elements of intimacy into the room with personalized blocks designed by Tamera set atop Newport Cottages changing tables purchased at the one and only Bel Bambini baby store in West Hollywood. Smith also placed a mirror that features the Housley’s favorite quote, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible,” in the nursery.

While some designers struggle with nursery room designs, Smith is no stranger to the baby sphere. “As a mother of two, I understand the anxiety many new moms are experiencing, especially high profile moms who often don’t have the luxury to just sit back, relax and enjoy the process,” says the designer. “As her exclusive baby concierge, I can pamper Tamera by assisting her with all things baby.”

Baby Housley is going to be one styling newborn when he arrives. Tamera and Adam are expecting him any day now.
