Alicia Keys is flexing her star power in encouraging people to vote. The singer and songwriter recently joined Reverend Jesse Jackson at an A&T State University rally in North Carolina that drew nearly 2,000 students and nearby residents. Alicia, along with Rev. Jackson, encouraged all attendees to take their opinions to the polls this November saying, “There’s no one here who can say that your vote doesn’t matter.”
Nia Long and Jada Pinkett-Smith have also exercised their star power in encouraging adults to vote in the upcoming election. Mariah Carey even went to the great lengths of getting a patriotic manicure in hopes of sparking voter interest.
BCK says: Be sure to get out and vote on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. A silent voice is silent indeed.
