Prince Fielder and his boys, Jaden(left) and Haven(right), bask in the Detroit Tigers player’s accomplishments. Fielder received the MLB All-Star Home Run Derby trophy after scoring over 28 home runs and four long drives on Monday, July 9, 2012.

Following the game, little Jaden was asked how his dad was able to win. He responded, “Because he’s the best player ever.”

Fielder was excited about his exceptional performance and happy to be mentioned in the same sentence as Ken Griffey Jr., who also won multiple Derby games.  “Just being mentioned with [Ken Griffey Jr.] is real special. My dad would let me go over and play video games all day. He always took care of me when I was a kid,” said Prince.

This year’s All-Star title marks the second year in a row that Prince has earned a trophy from the game.
