Sherri Shepherd stunned the crowd while dancing with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy on “Dancing With the Stars.” this week. The television host attributed her and Val’s rumba selection to 6-year-old Jeffrey,who was born prematurely in 2005.

Shepherd discussed Jeffrey’s birth prior to the dance segment. She said,”He delivered at a pound, ten ounces. ” Although predicted to have cerebral palsy and permanent paralysis because of his early arrival, Jeffrey is a healthy child who likes what any other 6-year-old enjoys. As Shepherd explained, “He does not have cerebral palsy; he is not paralyzed and I am so thankful. I want to show Jeffrey through this rumba how much I love him.”
Sherri later shared her experience on the dance floor with Zap2It saying, “I had to put my fingers in my ears. I just blew a kiss to Jeffery and just paid attention to Val (Chmerkovskiy). He loved it! And he loved Roshon (Fegan). He said, ‘Mommy, you were great and I loved Roshon.’ He’s kind of defecting in a way, but he loved Roshon.”
