Nick Cannon has partnered with Representatives Ed Markley and Joe Barton to protect children online. Cannon recently visited Capitol Hill to support the proposed Do Not Track Kids Act that will prevent children’s personal information from circulating the Internet. If passed, websites and advertisement companies will not be allowed to track minors. Parents will also be allowed to erase information about their children that is currently circulating the web.
Although Monroe and Moroccan are not old enough to surf the web, Cannon is still in support of the Act. As he explains, “Most at that age don’t have the judgment or the maturity to protect themselves from those capable of taking advantage of them by tracking their whereabouts on the internet. Parental supervision should extend from the playground to the Internet. I need some of my online activity erased too.”
