The event was held at The Westin on Friday, December 16, 2011. India was one of several performers entertaining to raise money for families who lost their homes in Hurricane Katrina. Former NBA player John Salley hosted the event and Black Elk Energy along with The Westin New Orleans served as sponsors.
Several NFL Saints players have already provided funding for six families to have their homes rebuilt and encourage fans to donate to the cause. More information pertaining to the event and charity can be found at United Way’s website.
