Erica Campbell of the Gospel duo MaryMary encountered intense labor pains on Monday, December 26,2011. The singer later told Facebook and Twitter fans that it was a false alarm and she was still pregnant. Erica writes, “Had contractions last nite but it was a false alarm, still pregnant still healthy but def on baby watch!”
The singing group recently cancelled their MaryMary Christmas Tour after Erica’s doctor advised her to slow down. As Erica explains, “Everything was ready [for the concert] and my doctor said ‘sit your butt down.’ I tried to ignore him first and I was going to do half of it [the show] but then the baby started descending into position for me to have her. So I think it was very smart of me to take care of my body and my baby.”
Erica and husband Warryn Campbell are expecting their baby girl to arrive sometime in February 2012. The new addition will be the couple’s third child.
