Michael Jackson’s children made a special appearance on the set of the X Factor in support of the shows final seven. The contestants rendered several selections by the late singer in hopes of remaining on the show.
Although unexpected, X Factor gladly rolled out the red carpet for Paris,13, Blanket,9, and Prince,14. As a staff member explains, “We didn’t know the kids were planning to come! Only about an hour before the show we were told they were definitely coming so we had to get ready for them! Of course everyone was very excited they could make it; it made the show extra special. They were very polite and sweet, and excited to be there, as was Katherine. They said they’d love to come back. They are all big fans of the show!”
Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009 after being given a dangerous amount of Diprivan (propofol). Michael’s children were joined by their mother and other Jackson family members who watched as the contestants honored the King of Pop in song.
